Product Description
The Stealth Arms Platypus is a modern take on the classic 1911 platform, combining traditional single-action operation and familiar 1911 ergonomics with the increased capacity and versatility of Glock-pattern magazines. This 5″ configuration features Stealth Arms’ Prickle grip texture and a flat black finish, giving the pistol a distinctive appearance while maintaining the practical handling characteristics expected from a full-size 1911-style handgun.
The 5″ configuration provides a full-size shooting platform with a longer sight radius and a balanced feel in the hand. The Platypus retains the familiar 1911 controls and single-action trigger while incorporating a double-stack magazine well designed around readily available Glock-pattern magazines. This combination makes the Platypus an appealing option for shooters who appreciate the feel and trigger characteristics of a 1911 but want the capacity and magazine compatibility of a modern double-stack pistol.
The Prickle grip texture provides an aggressive, secure feel in the hand without sacrificing the classic lines of the 1911 design. Paired with the flat black finish, the result is a clean, understated configuration with a distinctive custom look. Whether used for range sessions, training, competition, or as a premium everyday pistol, the Stealth Arms Platypus offers a unique combination of classic 1911 characteristics and modern double-stack functionality.
Ships with 2 magazines and a fabric range bag.
